City Government Officials

Habra is an old Spanish word for gorge or a pass through mountains. The area was so named because it was on a pass through the Puente Hills. The term was also used in the name of the land grant La Canada del Habra in 1839. Heights was added to distinguish the community from nearby La Habra.
