The "FaithDome," located on the former Pepperdine University campus in South Los Angeles at 7901 South Vermont Avenue and home of the Crenshaw Christian Center church, was, at the time of its completion, one of the largest geodesic dome structures in the world. It also became, at the time, the nation’s largest house of worship, capacity 10,145 peopl, when Pastor Fred Price began holding regular services there after its completion in 1989 (surpassed in 2005 by Lakewood Church in Houston, capacity 16,000).
