Federal Express is the largest freight carrier at LAX. In 2000, the air service hauled 364,313 tons of freight (18.2% or all air freight at LAX). The largest mail carrier at LAX is United Airlines. In 2000, the airline carried 53,694 tons of mail (21.8% of all mail carried through LAX).
