The largest Toyota dealership in the nation is Longo Toyota in El Monte. The dealership was founded by Dominic Longo in an abandoned gas station in 1968 after Ford would not offer him a franchise. Roger Penske acquired the dealership in 1986. It is now headed by son Greg.

The first Toyota dealership in the United States was established on October 31, 1957 as Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc., at the location of a former Rambler dealership in Hollywood (now Hollywood Toyota-Scion).

America’s premier auto marketing research firm, J.D. Power & Associates, is located in Agoura Hills.
