Great Man-Made Structures of Los Angeles County Listed Alphabetically
The Skinny House, located at 708 Gladys Avenue in Long Beach, is said to be the nation's narrowest home. It was built in 1932 by Nelson Rummond on a bet that he could not build a habitable residence on a lot that measured 10 x 50 feet. The Skinny House is three stories high and covers 860 square feet. It is built in the Old English Tudor Style.
