Team History
The team was originally founded as the
International Hockey League San Diego Gulls in 1995
(not to be confused
with the current West Coast Hockey League (WCHL) San Diego Gulls founded
in 1995). They were shortly thereafter relocated to Los Angeles and renamed Ice
Dogs for the
1995-1996 season. The team switched their league affiliation to the WCHL for the
2000-2001
season and then to the ECHL (formerly East Coast Hockey League) for
the 2003-2004 season.
The team ceased operations after the 2006-2007 season.
