Not all countries have consular offices in Los Angeles or even in California. If you do not find the consular office you
are looking for in California, consult the U.S. Department of State's Directory of Foreign Embassies in the United States
or Foreign Consular Offices in the United States. Some foreign consulates in the Los Angeles area are
Honorary Consuls or Honorary Consul Generals. As a matter of U.S. policy, honorary consular officers recognized by
the U.S. Government are American citizens or permanent resident aliens who perform consular services on a part-time basis.
They have limited immunity afforded honorary consular officers.
