Official Tree of Los Angeles

The official tree of Los Angeles is not a swaying palm, but rather the coral tree (erythrina). Those that grow on the median strip of San Vicente Boulevard (between 26th Street and Brigham Avenue) in Brentwood are designated cultural-historical monuments.
