The County
of Los Angeles, with more than 90,000 employees, is the largest
single employer in the five-county region
(Counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura). More than
25,000 of its positions are in the administration of law and justice; 23,800 are in health services;
and 22,200 are in social services.
