IndyMac Bank, owned by parent IndyMac Bancorp of Pasadena, collapsed in July 2008, becoming
the fourth largest bank failure in U.S. history and the second largest failure of a regulated thrift. IndyMac
Bancorp filed for bankruptcy. OneWestBank formed in 2009 from the remains of the failed bank.
