Unfortunately, one local city, Compton, continued to rank as among the nation's most dangerous cities.  For 2008-2009,
it was ranked as the 17th most dangerous city in the nation –
City Crime Rankings 2008-2009 by Kathleen O'Leary
Morgan, Scott Morgan and Dr. Rachel Boba.
